The Montblanc Carrera line was launched during the 1970s to replace the "Monte Rosa" series. It came in matt black/yellow plastic and matt black/brushed steel. The clip has 6 holes, possibly referring to the famous 6-cylinder engine and the 6-speed gear box of the Porsche Carrera.

Montblanc Safety no. 6 EF [106](c 1927).BHR. Fully restored with excellent function. Nib: fine with outstanding flex. One of the outstanding nibs made by Montblanc during this period. Measures: 5-7/8" capped and 6-3/4" open with posted cap. Condition: extra fine. Excellent example of a relative rare pen.

This custom made, one of a kind pen was manufactured in the UK and is Illustrated in the definitive work, "Parker Duofold" by David Shepherd and Dan Zazove. pg.157. (2006).

Note: The significance of this particular Parker Duofold, is that 1925 was last year that the hard rubber Duofolds were produced and it is considered one of the "grail" fountain pens for Parker collectors.
