Pelikan 400N (1955-56) PIF. Black celluloid cap. GFT clip and single cap band. inscribed "400+Pelikan". Barrel: Grey striped celluloid (early). Nib: "Pelikan C 585 slight left oblique, med-broad with semiflex. Fully restored with excellent function. Measures: Total length = 128 mm capped. Cap length: 60 mm. Condition: near mint. The 400N was manufactured for just 11 months in 1956, the 400N is the least common of the early 400 series. It is relatively rare and collectible. PE-43: Pelikan 100N (Gold, Solid)

Pelikan 100N (c 1938). PIF. Cap and Barrel gold overlay/binde, Excellent engraved fine guiloche pattern. Pelikan "585 14ct" hallmarks on cap and barrel. Engraved "19-38", initials "HAYL". A few superficial small (< 1 mm) dents are present on the cap and binde. Excellent function. New cork. Clear amber barrel window. Sharp outstanding logo, early 4 chick, Nib: Pelikan 14 karat. fine-medium with semi-flex. Measures; 4-13/16" capped. Condition: Extra fine. This pen is probably one that was released in celebration of Pelikan's 100th anniversary (1938), The principal design variations of the model 100 were used. It is an excellent example of an early 585 (solid) gold pen suitable for daily use or a collection.

PE-42: Pelikan 100N Magnum

Pelikan 100N Magnum (Oversize) (c 1935-6). Cap, inner cap and piston turning knob are red hard rubber. Cap imprint "emege", "Pelikan Patent". Cap logo four chick/nest. Barrel: Brown-cream tortoise shell celluloid. Nib: Original Pelikan 14 KT subtended by the distinctive triangle, fine with 2/4+ semiflex. Measures; 5-0" capped. Condition: Near mint. The Magnum retains many of the features of the 100 series manufactured between 1929 and 1937 and pre-dates the initial production of the 100N in 1937. While "oversized", it is only fractionally longer and wider than the 100 series. It is the largest vintage pen manufactured by Pelikan prior to 1950 and is relatively rare, especially in near mint condition and very collectible.

Pelikan 400 Green/green (c 1952) Piston Filler. Cap, section and piston turning knob blue tinted green celluloid. Barrel: linear striated celluloid. Gold filled trim. Perfect piston fill function. Steel inner cap sleeve. threaded piston knob, Nib: Screw in "Pelikan 585 14 kt" , fine, with semiflex responsive flex. Cap, section and piston turning knob are comprised of green celluloid with a bluish tint. Barrel: green/blue linear striated celluloid. Gold filled trim. Cap top logo has a small superficial small burr. Perfect piston fill function. Steel inner cap sleeve. threaded piston knob, Measures: 5-0"(126 mm) capped. Condition: Near mint. This early 400 series pen with green/green celluloid with blue-green tinted celluloid section and piston turning knob is extremely rare.. possibly the rarest of the 400s. Prototype ? Note: similar color pattern has been reported in 400N and 400NN versions.

Pelikan Rappen Pump Filler (c 1932) Bulb Pump Filler. Cap: black celluloid cap and barrel with transparent, clear green window. Excellent function. Nib: Rare IBIS, chrome nickel (CN). Excellent filling function. Measures: 4-5/8" capped Condition: Unused. New old stock. The Rappen was produced initially as the low-priced alternative to the higher priced Pelikan 100. It was first made as a simple bulb pump filler, as in this pen, and subsequently replaced by a piston fill mechanism. Excellent writer. An excellent example of an early classic Pelikan Rappen bulb filler. Very Collectible.
