No smaller pens of this quality level were produced by Montblanc.

Montblanc 139 L. Meisterstuck (c 1942) Piston filler (PIF). Black celluloid cap and barrel. Perfectly clear striated "short" window with close to perfect pinstriping. Gold filled trim with outer cap bands in sterling silver. Nib: Montblanc tri tone fine, neutral, with excellent responsive flex. This pen was manufactured in the 1940s and very likely originally had a wartime steel or palladium alloy nib. The current nib is characteristic of the early trichrome Montblanc149 nib. Correct flat feed. Piston mechanism functions perfectly and new cork has been installed. Measures: 134 mm capped. Condition Near mint. Excellent writer for regular use or collection. .

Parker Vacumatic, Junior.(c 1934). First Generation. Cap and barrel black celluloid. Standard, Vacumatic lockdown filler. Unique filler with fully restored with new diaphragm. Gold filled clip and double barrel band. Strong barrel imprint. No date code visible (see below). Nib: Vacumatic, monotone, fine, firm, with minimal flex. Imprinted 4. Measures: 4 15/16" (118 mm) capped. Condition: Excellent example of an early vacumatic suitable for regular use and very collectible. Specifically, Parker did not begin using date codes until 1935. In addition the earliest vacumatics were made of black (non-laminated) celluloid.
